Between 1968 and 1972, Le Guin published the Earthsea trilogy: "A Wizard of Earthsea", "The Tombs of Atuan" and "The Farthest Shore". Finally, I have some time to tell you about the wonderful second book of Ursula LeGuin's Earthsea cycle. I haven't much to Now that Ged's beginning is fresh in my mind, I'm ready to read the rest of the series. Le Guin classic Earthsea series. It is much more than an earlier version of Harry Potter, though like Rowlings' novel, A Wizard of Earthsea does begin a series of books, this one set in the fantasy archipelago of Earthsea. The Earthsea trilogy is a widely read and well received fantasy series. First The Name of the Rose, and now, in a wave this morning, A Wizard of Earthsea by Ursula K. Amazon prices: Four books (A Wizard of Earthsea, The Tombs of Atuan, The Farthest Shore, and Tehanu) tell the whole Earthsea cycle--a tale about a reckless, awkward boy named Sparrowhawk who becomes a wizard's apprentice after the wizard reveals Sparrowhawk's true name. One of the golden icons of the High Fantasy Genre is the Tales of Earthsea series.
